Cognitive and physical development in the first 20 months.Premise of the book: ¶
During the first 20 months of their lives, babies go through 10 “developmental leaps”. During these transitions, they are clingy, cranky and crying (authors call these the three C’s). ¶
Developmental leaps encompass physical and mental development. Leaps come at about the same time for everyone, give or take a few weeks. The leap happen at 5, 8, 12, 15, 23, 34, 42, 51, 60, and 71 weeks (71 weeks = 16 months).
